depends what bike it is. you need to get some heat in the airbox for winter time.

Hi

Carb icing is caused by the carbs getting cold (from the cold air running through it, and also the heat taken from the carb by the fuel being taken from it), resulting in the moisture in the air freezing in the carb.

The fuel additives can work (there were some sold for VW Beetles which were prone to carb icing, which might be cheaper).

More major solutions are to keep the carb warm. Warm the carb body (either bypass some coolant through the carb body, or electrically heat the carb). Warm the air going to the carb (commonly way it was done in old carbed cars, with the air intake in winter being near the exhaust), or probably warm the fuel.

All the best

Keith

Agreed, I've just recommended Silkolene Pro-FST to someone else on here, used to use it myself, but the latest bike is FI so I don't need it anymore.

as said, what bike is it?

most 50cc and 125cc have 2 pipes going from the cylinder head to the carb to put warm water into it. Thumbs Up
