Due to all the rain recently my back garden no longer supports the weight of the bike Sad and after getting that sinking feeling followed by my hilarious duck impression and leaving a WW1 style trench i decided i would have to start reversing in.

Which leads me on to GOD I NEED A REVERSE GEAR !

Trying to back a CBR 6 up a slope through a gate is going to kill me by the end of the winter.

Anyone got any tips they'd like to share.

The CBR6 is a lightweight.
Just think of it as a free workout rather than going to the gym.
It'll help fend off those extra pounds/inches you/me/everybody* gains over Xmas.

Besides, if you think that's hard try it with a tourer Wink Very Happy

Very Happy

well putting it that way has cheered me up a bit. However more poor back is not going to be so easily pleased.

Its more the uphill slope, lack of space and maneuverability thats the issue. Will be doing some landscaping next spring thats for sure Wink

I wish my bike had a reverse sometimes. Its not so much the weight, just the slippy man hole covers I have to waddle over to park up.

Actually a good idea.
Except couldn't you mount a turntable* on some concrete slab(s) and just turn it in situ?

Just a thought.
Plus if you're messing around with slabs a concrete ground anchor would be another addition.

Thumbs Up

* only found this as an example, there may be others available.

problem is there's limited space to actually do the turn and then as your paddling back its slippy feet time as the ground gets leaves and other cr@p all over it.
