been looking around for insurance renewal prices over the last couple of weeks and on the last policy i included mother as a named rider as it was only the nsr and wasn't all that fussed about it.
then i changed bikes to the cbr on the same policy leaving mother on (as it cost no more with or without her, but she knows she has no chance of me letting her ride it). with my recent quotes it looks like i will be able to afford TPFT, but only if i leave her off as she adds a few hundred notes to the price.

The problem i have is, i have 9 points on me licence and she has agreed that if i get caught for a minor offence of 3 points, she would take the wrap to save my licence if i added her again and if i payed the difference myself as she will never be allowed to ride it.

So should i go third party only and keep her on for a saving of around £300, but no theft cover, or go for TPFT, leave her off and hope i can keep out of trouble for the next 20 months or so.

what would you do?

Be a man........
and get TPFT.

Your biggest problem is, if you get pulled. She can't say it was her, only if you get caught on film.

as it stands the bike is totally legit and since having 9 points i spend most of my time looking out for plod and mostly riding like a granny, if i do get 3 points it will most likely be mobile scam van or regular gatso box.

i see what your saying though, and TBH if the bike did get pinched on TP only there's no way i could afford another, as i practically crippled myself financially buying this one and will be paying for it for a good few years yet Confused

think its looking like TPFT then , atleast i can get a decent nights kip without the fear of waking up to see tumbleweed where the bike used to be.
