Bloody van drivers are a liability! Have you/Are you going to get your knee checked out? Could be REALLY painful if there is something more to it than you thnk.

Is it an insurance claim job or are you just TP?

Unlucky Nick. It happens to the erm best of us.

Plus it wasn't exactly dry on the roads today so that was probably another downer.

Van drivers pretty much don't give a crap whats around them, just where they want to go. I hope some huge truck would do what he did to you! Twisted Evil Payback! lol

Hope you recover quickly aswell.

Went to A&E its just a Bruised knee.

Bent me handlebars back, ducktaped my clocks up and borrowed one of my mates foot pegs and the bike is now ridable. Smile

Back on the road Very Happy .

No matter what your insurance - if he was on the roundabout while you where already on it its not your fault (unless you where speeding etc) and as such you are claiming from HIS insurance not your own.

By the time i picked the bike up, i looked around and he was gone, a few people stopped and asked how i was, but being in shock i guess, i didn't say anything. Then rode it home with a Stiff clutch lever and no Peg.

Sorry to hear about that mate.

If someone hits you then what insurance cover you have is got sod all to do with it. It's the OTHER driver's insurance who forks out Thumbs Up

What it means though is that you need to contact his insurers yourself, where as with FC your insurance would do the donkey work of contacting them.

Contact your insurers anyway (you have to by law, I think), and tell them what happened - they'll send you details of how to claim, and also of places to get some legal advice. Mine did anyway.

Remember that all your kit will need replacing also - you should be able to claim his insurance for that also Thumbs Up

Oh - get your knee examined for sure, and get a doctors certificate to prove that you needed medical assistance - if you send a copy of that to his insurers then that will back up your claim (could even claim money for personal injury if you knee is buggered, take a few days off work and it's loss of earnings Wink )

Anyway, hope it goes well for you,

Mark

Bugger - just read that you never got his insurance details Sad

You should have stayed where you were and called the Police - he could then get done with leaving the scene of an accident.

Bad idea to just drive off mate. Definately should've called the Cops - ESPECIALLY if there were witnesses - one of them might have got a description\logo\number plate from the van.

Bad luck,

Mark

Nick, I'd be careful with the bars, they are only made out of thin tubular metal so might fracture.

Good to hear there's nothing serious with you though.

What kind of sh*t leaves a motorcyclist sprawled on a roundabout after colliding with him? It makes my blood boil when I hear of these things but at least your OK!

I'm shielding my hornets’ eyes, don’t want her upset by seeing a cousin injured.
Bad luck nick, get some nice new shiny bits to make her feel better.
The men in white coats have just arrived so I’ll have to go. Laughing

Sorry to hear about your crash. However your alright so that's the main thing Thumbs Up Can't believe someone would drive away from a crash like that Evil or Very Mad You should always get the reg number and the drivers details if you can even if you think it's not your fault. Though lying there on the ground, I'm sure this was the furthest thing from your mind Confused
