Anyone who owns a Hornet '03-'07 help me pelase?

I'm changing the tail unit from my '99 Hornet to the newer sharper tail unit. Now I have the tail unit and one thing I noticed is the seat lock isn't in the same place. Can anyone enlighten me on to where it is and/or show me pictures? And how it's all routed?

Here's your first answer man. I've heard of people having to move it or something to fit an aftermarket undertray...

Why can't you put it where the old one was?

I see... Thanks. Just need to know how it's all set up inside now.

And I could do, BUT the old tail piece has a special slot for the lock to "slide" and has the hole pre cut while the new tail piece 'd have to bodge it and drill a hole which wouldn't be good in my terms

Plus if I can have it out of the way it's even better

If you look atthis picture it looks like the seat lock is underneath in the undertray... so I'm guessing it's cable operated as it can be moved.

try and get a pdf manual for the 03- hornet.. I'm sure you'll find some pictures in there that show the seat lock mechanism.. should clear it up for you.

Well there's a few other places I could get the undertray from and it's all roughly the same price. Meh.

On my 05 hornet the seat lock is to the left above the numberplate on the undertray


Not sure how it is routed as mine was forcably removed in a crash, but it was just a cable, so routing shouldnt be a problem just as long as it isnt kinked or crushed.

I asked how it fit and it is just a case of take the lock out of the old undertray, and fit it into the new one at the location shown

ask on hornets nest if you havent already, someone will be able to tell ya
