You say that, but Cat c is repairable. My CG was written off as a Cat C, as it's only valued at £500. You'd be surprised at how little the book price for a newer CG is. (IIRC About £350) As it was, I was lucky in that my model isn't listed any more... Market value had to be taken into consideration.
The prices for levers, mirrors, indicator stalk, etc PLUS LABOUR would have cost more than two-thirds of what the bike is worth. Therefore, uneconomical to repair (in the eyes of the insurer).

Unless you bought it IN 1998, I'd be surprised if yours hadn't been in a crash of some sort.

I have all the documentation, and it doesn't appear that way. But I don't deny that it's a possibility. I bought it about a month anda half ago.
I have a CAT C Honda CBR125 (2005) sitting across my road. What shall I do with it? I'm no mechanic, and I have no time to mess about with it, I just wanna get it fixed up and sell it, or just sell it as it is... |
