Hi guys im lew and im new to the forum so please be nice, i am 16 and from hull east yorkshire. I have just bought a 58 plate peugeot v clic in black i have some plans for it but nothing performance wise as its a 50cc Sad. So anyone got any ideas for me? thanks lew Smile

Yep, get some road experience on your 50cc, save your money up, wait until you're 17, sell the 50cc, get a cheap second hand CG125, practice some more and pass your A2 test and be riding big bikes when the restriction expires 2 years later (and you'll be 19). Very Happy Thumbs Up

Are you completely unrestricted after those 2 years?

I mean, after those two years of being restricted to 33Bhp, could you go out and ride a 600cc? (obviously with insurance etc.)

Yep after 2 yrs. its automatic.
send in yr licence again and i think it is updated for nowt. maybe someone can clarify this?

you dont even need to send it in! once the two years is up, you can ride any motorcycle at full whack! it's down to personal preference whether you send it in or not, and it is free as long as you havent lost either part of your license!

there have been a few stories the DVLA mysteriously lost a catagory off the license, but thats just hearsay!

you can ride any capacity machine as long as it is restricted to 33bhp. there is no restriction as to what bike you can have, only to the power that is put out!
