hi all,
as most of you know i had aproblem with my old loom and the powervalve circit wasnt working on it....
Now that i have changed the loom it works....but i now have a problem with the front end clocks and lights.
you see when i put the 1st stage light on the hig beam light comes up on the lights above the clocks and same on the second notch...but with the second notch the lights light up behind the clocks to illuminate them...and no rear light illumination either.....and on the final (3rd click of the lighs) which should be the most powerful light ligh comes on (the non high beam one) and the clock light turns off and still no back brake...BUT THEN THE HIGH BEAM ON THE DASH LIGHT TURNS OFF? and even if you click on the high beam nothing happens?
this is not right......
what is the problem?
its exacl the same wiring loom for the same year mito (1999 7-speed)
could it be some of the wires are the wrong way round or somthing?
any help is much apriciated.....cheers ____________________ You won't be able to eat my dust......As it'll settle before you get there. |

Hi
Hate playing with wiring looms. Check the connectors on the loom to the clocks / switchgear / etc. Check the same colour wires are in the same place. Take it you have a wiring diagram, so it is them time to poke around with a multimeter and check the various circuits.
But there is also the possibility that the wiring is melted in the loom (especially being a headlight circuit, when someone might have put in a larger bulb).
All the best
