darn it, i'm both !

broke my left leg at the top ( femur i think that bone is) snapped clean in half, had some metal work in there for a few years but had it all removed.

and more recently bounced when planting the bike in a hedge going into a corner too hot.

Well if you slide then you've obviously bounced, the reason I put bounce was because I thought it sounded better than 'Do you break limbs and tear your body apart?'

No, I slammed into the tarmac and slid pinned under the bike.

A bounce suggests that you tumbled down the road like a skier falling over down the piste.

I've been lucky so far; I haven't had an off over 5mph. I've only come off once on the road and that was pulling out of the Uni car park uphill on my NSR, dropping off the kerb and having the rear suspension spring up and the rear wheel lose traction under full throttle. Bloody two strokes heh. I wasn't expecting it to pull so well from cold and I was trying to keep up with the boys on their 600's. Was a silly thing to do as it was winter and my tyres were cold. Taught me a lesson and didn't really damage the bike as I pretty much just did a 180 while still holding the bars so I could pick it up straight away.

It's inevitable that I will have an off sooner or later, preferably the latter. I expect that I will bounce as I'm quite 'big boned' so to speak heh.

Everyone does eventually....

Only off once 20 years ago on a 125, I bounced, bike broke (although not badly). If I came off in the same spot today I would break though, a soft earth bank has been replaced with iron railings.

Neither bounce nor break.

The bike went down, slid for about 10 feet.

I dropped to the floor at about 25mph and just stopped dead on my shoulder.

Needless to say it hurt a little, but I neither bounced, nor broke.
