Found a nice shinny bike, what do you lot think?

1996 YAMAHA YZF
Thundercat 600cc, MOT and tax to Jan 2005,. 20000 miles. £2200.
https://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/ATD_web/servlet/media?id=77662110
Very minor damage to rhs panel, cam chain and valves were never done in the memory of the seller. Rear tyre has done about 7-8000miles I assume needs changing soon, front is good.
Chain and sprockets done recently along with general service.

I'm going to check it out with G and Bendy later on today.

Cheers,

Danny

Very helpful comments Rob. Razz Laughing

Anyone know how much it costs to replace/service (or whatever) a cam chain tensioner thing? (I have no idea what this thing does)

Hi

The cam chain tensioner is very easy to change. Like about 10 minutes. However the blade it operates on in the engine will be more difficult to change.

All the best

Keith

Cam chain tensioners are cheap, no more than about £30-40.
Go for it Danski, not too bad a price.
But also check around on ebay as there are some bigger and better bikes going for silly prices.
