Im happy with mine at the moment. In the past theres always been something else I would want but at the moment nothing else excites me. I would possibly have another kind of bike but I wouldnt trade my busa in, I'd have to keep it.

Something exotic and ridiculous like an RS250 to thrash now and then would be a nice addition

I'm greedy, so I dont tend to sell bikes, I tend to just add to the collection.

If I ever get into track riding, it might be worth getting a 636, and I guess two 600's would be silly so then I would get rid of my tt600. But I might not actually.

My bikes are good for what I need, but I might get another runner 180 next year to replace the one that got nicked this year.

I really should get the rs125 sorted out, or I could justify replacing it with an rs250.

But its pretty unlikely I would get an rs250 really.

Id probably change for a newer better condition gpz900r/gpz1000rx, then sell it and buy a cheaper rattier one and put the cash saved towards a tour.

Or keep the mint condition gpz and sell the fairing etc and replace what I need with tattier condition parts to make some cash.

Yeah I'm happily pootling along on my little 125, picking up the skills. I'm already a little bored with the lack of power but to be honest I barely notice it as I'm having far too much fun on two wheels.

Even the cold doesn't get to me!

I'll be chopping it in for a bigger model when I pass the test next year, no idea what I want yet as I change my mind everytime I go looking. Currently looking at a Hornet.

Nothing that sticks out well enough for me to think hmmm I'll change it for that, they all seem abit boring and the same to me. With a kind of hmmm what revised last year model bike shall I buy from the showroom today thing about them...

Might get a Supermoto of some kind as well as my RVF at some point though, saw a real nice slightly changed MZ Bhaghira earlier this year, either one of those or a KTM 640 LC or something. Something abit individual :/

Most of my bikes I'm happy with how they do what they do...
KTM690 - everything from touring to local green laning and light dirt-track use.
ZX9 (should have had a look at this today, should be fine for motorway commuting when I stick the ram-air stuff back on).
CCM - needs new crank, great for in-town commuting when working.
KTM200EXC - massive dirt-based grin machine.
Triumph - track tool.

CRM 125 - only reason to keep it once I've put it back together is to enter 125 trail class in enduros, otherwise the KTM weighs less and makes a lot more power. Hope to swap this for a trials bike at .
FX400 - After a day avoiding doing the ZX9 by googling electric bikes, I think I might try and convert this to electric sometime as no one wants to buy it.

Im too old and set in my ways to change mine, Iv had jawas for years, theyre fast, 90 + tops( with the wind behind you ) 70 is fast enough for me now , honest ociffer!! Dirt cheap and easy to run, loads of room for me the missus and a pile of camping gear.I tried a Suzuki Intruder once, it just didnt justify the extra expense, main dealers service costs and extortionate Jap spares prices, i didnt keep it long. Tried a chinese 250 cruiser, looked the dogs bollacks, but bits kept droppin off, and it was sooo under powered it was a joke. so it was back to trusty old smokies, and at nearly 62 i think Ill stay with what i know.

My NC30: Yes, very happy. Despite the fact that it hasn't really gone anywhere for over a year I couldn't imagine parting with it. There'd be nothing to replace it with, it does everything I bought it for and is the bike I think about the most. The first one I had got under my skin and nothing else I seem to ride has that same certain something that I just can't seem to describe.

My CBR: Nnn-yes. It's brilliant - a fantastic piece of technology that blends useability with thrashability with fun and practicality, wrapped up with a dollop of Honda dependability and fits anyone ergonomics. The days of just getting on a bike and riding it whenever or wherever I wanted to go evaporated when I parted with my CG. I need another bike to fill this gap as, strangley, the CBR does seem quite 'empty' in this regard.

Hmm, love the 600rr and always have, it's stable, balanced, great breaks, has plenty of power for road use... not too bad in all but wan't to do a few mods rather than change it.

I wouldn't change it, I've rode my brother-in-laws 1000rr and loved it but shredded tyres in a weekend of roadriding and found it didn't turn in as quick - although it was massively more stable at high speed.

Swings and roundabouts really, its a loaded question, if i was loaded and had a big garage then i'd have a load of classic sports bikes, a desmo, an nr750, maybe even a harley, certainly a vmax.

I guess with biking, you love what you have and feel grateful for that but the variety in terms of power delivery/handling is immense and as such you wan't a taste of that difference every now and then...

CBR600F pretty much , does what it says on the tin , its pointy fast and rides ok and is still vintage Honda ie still has decent build quality and can be taken apart unlike modern hondas.

If it was shaft drive it would be perfect.

So so , its been capable 99.9% reliable but its falling apart too much to look after her.


The Africa Twin , bit 50-50 in that its a bit tall and monsterous , put the NTV or CBR next to it and they look like toys , it also seems more complicated put together than the CBR, in that bits and pieces especially the electronics aren't where you expect them to be...

I'd probably like it to be lower and have much less weight.

I'm happy that 09 will be the year i manage to re-build my KMX200. Happy with having one as a project, as it was probably my best bike of all time. I'm also looking forward to the sound and smell of two stroke again, it's been too long!

Realistically i'll keep the KMX whatever, but i would eventually like a 1litre muscle bike thats affordable secondhand, and that could be my next project. The Dream bike is a little way off yet though!

I want to get rid of the bike, i spent a butt load of money resurrecting it, and it's behaved itself thus far. Its too personalised and people recognise me for riding the black monster rep ninja - even though neither description is correct.

If i were to trade, i'd want more of the same - a sure footed and planted bike, something like a ZX9R F... i know i should diversify my taste and possibly head over to a Gixxer750 K4 sort of direction, but the 9R is instinctively the next step up - a compliant mile muncher with loads of underseat storage space. Cheap to insure... practicality for ya.

Could be persuaded to sell the FZR600 to buy a better everyday bike, but as I would get stuff all for it that is a bit irrelevant.

I love my bike in the summer when the roads are dry, the tyres are hot and its just non stop fun and sounds like music to my ears. Its horrible in the winter with to much power and a nightmare to ride and keeping up with other bikes on corners in crappy conditions is a bit hairy and worrying. Its an 02 RSV Mille R with race can and eprom chip. Its not the most reliable bike in the world, costs a lot to maintain/run and repair. Today went to take it for a spin to charge it as with two jobs i dont have loads of time to use it for any decent length trips. It flooded as it was cold and now i have to let it clear for tomorrow and take it out after work to make sure battery is good for work.

I have just started thinking about swapping it in for an sp1 or sp2 but will have to look into costs/insurance and reliability first.

yeah I'm pretty happy with it I've had it over 2 years now which judging by lots of people on here thats enough time to have swapped it for a 600cc > 1000cc and now be on a turbo hyabusa.
It does feel underpowered now but I'm planning on doing some trackdays next year and it will be the perfect bike for me to learn to corner properly on without the distraction of straight line speed.


Vespa Px125-
I was going to sell it earlier in the year but never got round to it, I'm pretty glad really as its perfect for my commute of under 40mph speeds.
80+mpg, fun, 2 stroke smell and sound with classic style. Just a shame its a bit sluggish and not built like a Japanese bike. A scooter fits my needs fine but when I do get a new commuter I'd probably get a 500cc ish motorbike just for cool points really.


I'm not really one for selling or upgrading things so generally just keep stuff until it breaks unless I really hate it.

The only bikes I'd swap the speed four for are a Street Triple R or a Buell XB12Scg. Seeing as both are worth a lot more than my S4, it aint going to happen soon.

I would definately swap the Gas Gas Pampera for an EC300, but it needs an MOT. I suspect I could get an EC300 for the same sort of money as I could get for the Pampera, so that might be my next thing.

I'm happy with the RD and the MZ, they just need a little work and MOT's.

I have a 75% motorcycle MOT requirement at the moment! Maybe I should become an MOT tester!
