As above.
I've just got it and it's not very fast (65ish)
I bought a genuine kawasaki manual from a dealership
and followed the instructions to set up the powervalve, which is two barrels and a wedge.
It is still slow.
I wonder if anyone out there has done one of these before cos its puzzling me.

By the way, no clever answers about buying a different bike please!
I passed my 33hp test 21 months ago ta very much.

BlueX5 is right. There will be some quite heavy restrictions in the std expansion chamber, much the same as the DTR125. I think that there is more to it than a simple collar in the front pipe to remove, so unless your handly with an angle grinder and a welder, then id look for a decent aftermarket pipe for it instead. The full power KDX should make 24.5bhp at 9500rpm. It's heavier than a KMX by about 10kg, so it's slightly less lively, but far more capable off road too.

As long as the KIPS valves are correctly fitted and working, i.e not stuck in the barrel covered in gungey black stuff, then there is nothing to adjust really. It works or it don't.
