I'd love to do this, but this particular venue is too far away.

Some general questions though, do you wear your own leathers that you would use on a full size bike? Knee sliders a must I assume? (I have them, but they've not touched the ground yet!). What about helmet? Your own again? Is it hard? Laughing

Hully is an indoor track, it is NOT tarmac, its kinda concrete covered in a protective varnish (at the end of the day, its an old hanger) - its a bit like a sports hall ... therefore leathers are unnecessary ... actually I'd go further than that ... there is NO way I could make the shapes I need to to ride my minimotos in my leathers so don't even entertain the idea of wearing them!! Wink

I wear a lid, some bike gloves, t-shirt, jumper (if winter), jeans and a set of overalls ontop. I also have proper minimoto kneesliders (they cover the shin too).

I have fallen off LOTS and never suffered any abrasion problems in the above gear, you can fall off quite a few times and not even go through the overalls(unlike if you were on the road in the same caper) ... so as you can see they are not a necessity.

NOTE: this is at Hully, if your local track is outdoors/tarmac, the you will need more abrasion protection.

I never both with overalls or 'owt on the minimoto... jeans and a bike jacket along with gloves/helmet.

If you have a look through the section this is now in, there's some details from when we did it at the beginning of last month.

If another one is arranged I might be interested depending on date. Not too sure about friday evening practice sessions as it's a long drive so with the hire costs is quite expensive, maybe if a decent group go I might. I'm sure using your own one used to be cheaper than £20 I thought it was 10 or 15.

When I first started going, they ran it at £10 ... and the place was packed ... they had to run several 'sessions' to split the people up ...

They then switched to £20 and numbers consequently dwindled .... to the point where if you showed up, there might be 4-5 of you there .... to be honest ... that sux as half the fun is burning ppl up!!

The numbers dwindled so much, they eventually had to stop doing it on some of the nights (used to be Wed, Fri, Sun IIRC, not it is just Fri).

Its lucky for them they have a monopoly on minimoto in quite a catchment area as ... well they don't know how to do-business Wink

I thought when we used to go (when they first moved to Hullavington from Winners) it was £20 for all-night usage of your own minimoto (they rarely had sessions, sometimes had quick ones for nervous very young kids).

May be wrong though; the posts from that time are probably still around if anyone wants to search for them however Smile.

You'd probably remember better than me G as you were the one running your own minimoto, but I just had a feeling it was less than £20, I could search posts, but apathy reigns and it's £20 now so it I guess it doesn't really matter Thinking

Awesome video! Has made me want to go again now. Very Happy

That's the same track lay out as when we went as a group off bcf, pretty good layout I think.

That little dude at the end was actually tiny! How old is he? He was basically sliding along the floor around the corners! Laughing
