Well, it's been confirmed today, as the money has been handed over, that this is my first road bike, it's a 1999 suzuki TS50 that has done 15k miles.
It's 5 speed with a clutch, and does an eye watering 30mph ! Laughing
And I love it
Very Happy Smile Smile

Cbt is booked for the 30th of December, I can't wait to get out on it. Twisted Evil

I do hope you didn't pay £995 for that heap of shit considering you said so much crap about lots of geared 50's that are far superior and could be had at around the same price.

EDIT: Actually I do hope you wasted your money.

if you fit an aftermarket can (i had a sammy miller one off a TY 250) clean the ports and so on it improves the speed somet chronic mine was touching an indicated 55mph.

Yes it was £995 with loads of free stuff thrown in, if you don't have anything constructive to say then please go away.

I can't believe that someone had my 7R for less than that, a grand does seem a lot of money Jamie.

Indeed, but when you think that it's the only geared 50cc bike with in 30 miles of my house, and that I have been looking for over 3 months, then it's not so bad.
Not to mention the fact that I needed a bike in less than 3 weeks.
The other good side is that it's only £250 to insure, which is a lot less than an RS50 (the bike that I wanted to get)

Would rather a Speedfight than that to be honest.

It's a nice classic bike but I can see it being troublesome.

I didn't want a rev and go though, and I don't like the seating position on most scooters.

It's only done 15k miles and comes with 12 months mot, it is like new, it's just had a new piston and rings, so everything is sorted for another 10k I'd say, air cooled so lots less to go wrong, and plenty of options to tune it if I so wish.
Jamie.

It is a bit expensive but as long as it gives you 1 year trouble free, happy riding then you'll forget all about how much you paid for it.

Good luck with your CBT Thumbs Up

He likes the way the thin seat penetrates his butt cheeks so snugly

i don't know how much they normally fetch for and it does seem expensive to me, but aslong as you are happy with it then who cares. as you said, you like it, the insurance is cheap and it was the only thing available within 30 miles.

hope the freebies were good mate Smile enjoy it.

I got a TS50X at the moment...
Great bike if you treat it right, but it can be a pain if you don't like the previous owner of mine did. They are so much better than 50cc peds and they also let you get to grips with gears too which is handy. I must admit tho... £995... a bit pricy in my eyes... Mine cost me £500. 1998 year and came with about two bikes worth of spare parts. I must admit tho... that was a steal because the bloke was moving house and needed to get rid of it. It was about 60 miles away =[

Good luck with your CBT!

Oh... and anyone want to buy a TS50X? Recent engine rebuild =]. I got my bike test in Feb so i got to get rid of it to let way for a bigger bike =[. i'll be sad to see it go.

Yazta.

of course I did, he wasn't going to budge on the price so I got a £100 jacket and a few other bits thrown in for nothing.
