Hard to say...

Ultimately, they're both shit in their own unique way.

I wouldnt piss on either if they were on fire.

Probably because I set them alight.

Why you feel the need to create two threads to ask the same question?

not really because I would sooner have the motorcycle before the scooter, I would sooner have the scooter than a push bike and I would sooner have the push bike than walk, this is a motorcycle chat forum though some folks may prefer scooters so they should be in a scooter forum, having said that I do give biker nods to scooters because its two wheels with an engine and I have used scooters on holiday and when I was younger I have owned a few tho I also owned motorcycles at the same time and class myself as a motorcyclist

But you said 'two wheels is two wheels', and then (in other words) 'If you like scooters you don't belong on a motorbike forum'.

A bit stupid really. A scooter is a motorbike but in a different form, just like the cruiser is different to a superbike, and a naked bike is different to a cruiser.

They all share the 'motor' part of motorbike, and the 'bike' part of motorbike. So why aren't they motorbikes?

Cause the engine is mounted on the swingarm, they have stoopid little wheels and they look weird.

Laughing Go join oldskoolsuzuki.info and tell them that Laughing Wink

Ok to be more specific:

Quote:
Scooter - a usually two-wheeled vehicle with small wheels and a low-powered petrol engine geared to the rear wheel.

Moped - a light motorcycle not over 50cc.

Motorcycle - a motor vehicle with two wheels and a strong frame.

Thumbs Up

Not agreeing with the OP, was just answering your question. Wink

Why put it in the frame when hanging it off the back means less distance between the engine and wheel, so shorter drive belts, ergo, they cost less Laughing
