Hi, guys wonder if you could help me please. I’m new to the forum.
I’m rebuilding an SR125 with the help of my twin boys. We dropped the engine out to clean it up. When we did it I forgot to unconnected the throttle cable from the top of the carb. I unscrewed the top of the carb and took out the spring, needle etc and put the engine on the bench. My problem now is the throttle cable has pulled up inside the top of the carb. I can’t get it out so I thought Id just buy a new one but I can’t find any second hand ones and even if I could what do I need to look for? Do I buy the twist grip assembly including the top of the carb? Or can I just replace the throttle cable? Can I cut the cable to get it out or should I carry on trying to force it through. Any Ideas gratefully received.

The nipple that goes round the needle piston thing!!in the top of the carb, had pulled up inside a plastic sleeve that presumably protects the cable. after lots of hours of swearing and hotwater I managed to get it pushed through. I seems ok! so panic over.
Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll be back with more
