I have a slight problem on my Honda SP1 and hoping for some advice.

It goes like this... I have a Speedo Healer v4, which was fitted a few weeks ago, I also have a Acumen Gear Indicator which was fitted 2 years ago and never played up once.

So I am riding for only the second time since fitting the Speedo Healer and start to notice that the gear indicator is getting a little confused. Sometimes thinks 1st gear is 2nd gear, or 3rd is 4th etc. So naturally I think it just needs recalibrating because I fitted the Speedo Healer...

I start calibrating the Gear Indicator but notice quite quickly that my speedo doesnt register any speed. It's on the paddock stand revving to around 4-5k rpm in first btw. It was working when I was riding it.

I play around a little bit fiddling with cables etc. Unplug the Speedo Healer completely but no difference, reset to defaults but no difference. The Speedo Healer has a test function which puts random speeds on the speedo, which works fine, it's also meant to flash when turning the rear wheel...which it does not.

The Speedo Healer plugs directly into the speed sensor (connected to the engine near the rear shock), it then goes through the ECU>Loom>Speedo.

The Gear Indicator is soldered into the loom right by clocks.

Now I am assuming since the Speedo Healer is far at the end of the loop and that can send a speed signal to my speedo then it must be my speed sensor? My rev counter/temp guage and everything else works perfectly fine.

Any one got any suggestions?

I havent taken off the speed sensor yet because it's a little begger to get too and I want the bike for a ride tomorrow.

My advice... Stop buying stuff that can go wrong and just listen to your engine.
