Hi, Got a small 25ltr 1hp compressor and thought id treat it to an oil change as it's never been done, what would be ok to use ? As I'm not going to buying "special compressor oil", which seems like a rip off to me.
The oil seems quite thin, would EP90 gear oil be ok ?

I would use what is recomended Jamie.
If it is a piston compressor you may get away with things but if it is a vane, screw or scroll type you will kill it with the wrong oil.

3quid for the correct oil is a LOT cheaper than a new pump.... Rolling Eyes

That kinda distance ain't gonna impress me when I go 80 miles for breakfast most weekends Rolling Eyes

The idea of living in the boonies is to buy the crap you need BEFORE you need it so you don;t end up having to endure FIFTEEN fucking miles for a case of oil... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
