Ok I havent been using my 360 very much lately with uni work but since I stopped for xmas I've had a bit of time blah blah blah...

Anyway it has been freezing up a lot so I assumed it was overheating so I moved it from where it was and it worked for a while but it started frezzing again and now I've got the red lights (just in time for xmas, good job i didnt ask santa for any games! lol)

I got it 2 xmas's ago so its within the 3 year warrenty from microsoft but I dont have any receipts or anything to prove this, what do I do? Has anyone else been in this situation and can I still send it back under warrenty or will I have to pay or go else where?

Cheers.

ello Very Happy

Paypal 2.50 to [email protected] and I'll send you a kit out to fix it. I'll email you instructions as well.

it requires you to split the xbox down and remove the X-clamps that hold the GPU /CPU on.

If you were in the Stoke On Trent area I'd do it for you within the hour.

Because its a lot quicker than waiting for microsoft to do it. And N30's is a permanent fix, where as when MS 'fix' it, it could happen again at any time.

Does opening up the Xbox not invalidate the warrenty though?
