Please could somebody explain what the thing is highlighted with the box. What does it do? What is the name? How much to replace etc. ? Thanks

Its a flugal valve which is connected to the laughing sprocket ,in sale at Argos for £14.99 Laughing hey you give NO info so ya gets a twatty answer

Bike engine with dry-sump, so either dragbike or fitted in a car. Most likely an outrigger bearing then.

Better pics would help.

Actually, it looks like an adapter block for converting a busa engine to shaft drive for use in a car. If it's got a problem than chances-are the output shaft is broken. I have a spare one if it's a standard item.

Wotcha.

Looks to me like some kind of adaptor - fits where the gearbox sprocket would fit, and possibly a u/j from a drive shaft bolts into the four holes.
