i bought a speedfight2 100cc wrc 53 plate about 2 weeks ago, it was in perfect condition and low mileage it has been on the road since 2003 and has only done 5096 miles.
yesterday was my first day on it and it was fine most of the day but just as i way on my way home it lost all power and turned its self off.

i thought it had just overheated so i let it cool down for about an hour and a half before a i tried starting it again but there was nothing no electic start or nothing not even the kick start kicks.

when i trie and start it the oil light is on but only when a trie the electic start but i only just put new oil in and i no it was the right oil.

the immobilizer light goes out when the key is turned as normal so i dont think its that.

any ideas????

please help me fix it Sad

How far did it run before stopping?
How long was it running continuously before stopping?
Was this longer than previously?
Did you do anything differently (ie: more lights / more revs / stuck in traffic).

1) Battery charged?
2) Check that oil and fuel are getting to the engine.
3) Check for spark.
4) Check the coil.
5) Check the oil pump is working.
6) Is the ignition acting up (keylock and immobiliser)?

Easiest way to check electrical parts, find a friend with a compatible model and play the part swap game.

Listed in order of easiest to get to/check.
