I start mine up, get my kit on, ride it for about half a mile with the choke half on, then take the choke off.

Warms it up no problems!

My RS 125 sits about 1500 revs at idle, says as much in the manual, I sit on it for a couple of minutes in the morning when warming the engine up from cold, with the choke on, white smoke billowing around me.

Hey! Yea, I do the same as carvell. Only run the bike for about half a mile though. It's best not to leave the choke out too long as it can flood the engine with excess petrol.

My NSR idles at about 1500 revs. Well it does not that the spark plug problem was fixed. Very Happy

Before it was idling at around 3000 and wouldnâ€™t pull off to save your life! Crying or Very sad

But now thatâ€™s fixed! Yey!

another question, when i first got it it started everytime straight away, now i have to open the choke a bit, hold the engine starter and rev it, keep it at about 3000 revs until its warm, then it works..is that normal?

Put the choke on full for a minute or two, then turn the choke off and rev gently for a few minutes (3000rpm)ish.

Mine idles at 1500rpm, and has a choke idle of about 3000rpm. The choke is a pull out pin button on the carburetter rather than the lever on the handlebar so you can't really ride with it out or it pops back in again.

I think so but I've never had a 125 4-stroke. Get some redex from b&q, that'll make it start easier (it's good stuff)

I've a GS 125 and I start it with the choke on then turn the choke off straight away and keep the bike at 3k - 4k for five minutes then if is fine and revs at idle at 1.5k.

You should have a small brass crew on the top of the carb which you can turn either way and it will increase / lower the idle speed.

i dunno how i did it, it just worked...lol, i put a plastic cover over it to stop it getting wet in the rain and put it over as soon as turned the bike off, it melted plastic all over the exhaust *sigh* gotta go peel it off now its cold

sorry i forgot, to get the engine to work first time i need to turn the choke on all the way for a few seconds, it wont start unless i have the choke on, then i can turn it off, hopefully thats normal though..
