Patching up my exhaust

The exhaust on my Varadero 125 is starting to rust through underneath.

Is there anything that I can use to temporarily patch it till I can locate a new one (there are none in the country according to Honda UK and they are very very scarce at the breakers too)?

The welder round the corner from work reckons that it can't be welded.....

Can be welded. Even if it's a plate thats welded over it. Probably worth importing an exhaust if it's that bad. Or just leave it till it does actually start blowing and then use gungum or something to patch it, whilst all this is happening you are still looking for a new exhaust of course Smile

I welded my down pipes and silencer. You can also get fire gum and exhaust bandages.

I went to the local bike emporium (HALFORDS) and bought some metal foil and an exhaust bandage.

Will see if that does the trick.
