...Should wire be to safely handle 15A?

Having played about with my alternator ive a bad feeling the current wire is a bit skinny for 15A.

I'd also rather go a bit overkill rather than on the thin side, i want
to minimise my I(squared)R losses.

Answered in mm dia or perhaps overall mm squared please

I cant work the AWG or SWG terminolgy.

Of course it does. Sorry missed out that bit.


The wire in question is the Positive output of the alternator, negative is earthed to frame.

2mm squared should do it.
