Had smash on my NSR. Rear lights smashed, grab rail no longer exists, damage to fairing at rear, chassis bent slightly upwards where the grabrail/rear lights are. As a result of this, the seat no longer clips into place and has to be tied down with masses of string. MOT is due anytime now. How much will the cost to fix and how long will this take?? Pics can be available if requested.

What you need is a new subframe. I think Andy (nsr_kid_uk or something) has one for sale.

I crashed, the bike slid down the road, and I still can't figure out how the rear end took the brunt of the impact cos it didn't hit anything other than the road?

Yes, I have an NSR125R Subframe, grab handle and complete set of rear panels including light assembly (minus one connector that snapped off, you should be able to make/have made a suitable replacement - and without bulbs; they replaced the dodgy ones on my NSR). I also have a seat. Get back to me if you're interested.
