The bulb under the rev meter works fine, but the one under the speedo is blown, how much will a replacement cost, while im at it i may as well buy 2 and replace the other one, how difficult is it install new light bulbs, bearing in mind ive never done anything more advanced the open the choke on this bike..

Your going to be looking at a couple of quid for a couple of replacement bulbs (should be able to find them in Halfrauds etc).

As for how hard they are to replace, never done it on a GS before but to be honest its just a case of a few nuts to get to behind the clocks, then pull old bulb out and put new one in.

Simple job.

Buy two, mine blew on the Speedo and now the rev counter one has gone too! They are bulbs that are fully glass that push straight into the housing. There are a couple of screws underneath the counters (I think) that give you access to the inside of them.

Mine is a C plate so 18 years old and there is no metal there, the bulbs are fully glass and kind of clip into place.
