Messing about in a car park with a mate today, got some action shots of my monkey bike in action. We decided to 'crash proof' it the night before which turned into us whacking as many stickers as we could find on and writing, very stylishly, VTEC YO with some racing strips to accompany it. Laughing

I will kick off with my knee down pictures, first to the right (video in bike videos).

Here is the joker again. Judging by your name you have a RS2? Ie the worst piece of shit ever. Also, I used to have a GPR 50 and currently also have a Fz750.

I would check before you make comments mate.

Whatever mate, take it else where. I really don't get your first comment even more now, you have a proper bike and you know that I own a proper size bike, yet you still make little childish comments? You obviously don't know how much fun little bikes are.

Its quite funny how you make such a big deal out of me saying that you have a RS2 when its in your name, nothing else in your sig to say otherwise, yet you presume that I don't have a proper bike, even though it is in my sig. Slightly hypocritical is it not?

Also, what was the need to call me a cunt? Confused

In the words of shaggy: You oxygen thieving spastic cunt.

Looks good Matt. Loving the knee downs.

Is it any easier than the GPR to KD?

Thumbs Up

Cheers. Very Happy

Well it's a different ball game really, on the GPR I had to do 35mph round a round-de-bout whereas the monkey (as you can see) takes just a little circle. The tyres are sheite chinky half knobberlies so I wouldn't really want to try much other than a little circle tbh. Doesn't look that far over in the pictures and video (https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=2046555#2046555) but it feels it and you sort of have to take the plunge and just crank it over. Laughing

All good fun, doesn't bother me falling of it either as there is basically nothing I can damage (no damage from the fall in the pictures above) and it's not exactly high speed. Very Happy

They are indeed fine little bikes and the reason why I couldn't bring myself to sell mine, instead its staying SORN in the garage for maybe a future project.

Nice little shots there, never really tried to get the kneedown as the tyres are really that bad plus didn't want to scratch my newish leathers anyways.

They are a doddle to pop the front wheel up but no more on mine with an oversized swingarm.

WTD, Surely yours must still wheelie, even with the extended swinger?

I fitted a +2" swingarm on my pit. Although it doesn't power up any more in 2nd, It will still clutch up effortlessly.

I take delivery of the YX150 engine on 7th January. Got to swap the Stator plate over with the Inner rotor kit that comes fitted in the 150, So it will still run my lights. Fitting an 18t front sprocket too! Got to grind some of the casing away to make it fit! Cool

12" wheels, 18t / 37t sprockets, 150cc 14bhp engine. Looking at about 70mph. Mr. Green

Matthie, Videos are cool. Get some decent tyres on that bike though, And get some proper knee down action. And rebuild those bloody forks.

Well when I am KD at the moment the peg is pretty much on the floor anyway so I won't be able to hang off much less.

Extended = +13cm (or might even be 14cm can't remember now). Its also gone from bouncy twin shocks to a stiffer mono.

I could be just a pussy. Laughing

How did you convert to single Mono shock?
Did you get an adapter for the frame?

Or is it just bolted to one of the oil shock mounts.

The top mount just bolts around the frame.

I would really like to go to town on it and change a hell of a lot more than I have, extended twin shock would have been better but the mono looks different.

Got any pictures of this Top mount. And was it supplied by OOR?

Reason I ask is because I too had to make a top mount to convert my pit from A-frame swing arm, to Mono Swing arm.

In the making

Complete... (Well, Until I MIG it on properly)

Yeah it was from OORacing.

Looking at your set up I don't think it'll fit as it clamps round the subframe under the seat.

As mentioned, I like to have big ideas for mine changing everything bar the frame.

70mph on a pit bike sized bike would be damn fun and almost ticking every box.

By Feb, My pit bike should be pulling off 70mph.

Am fitting the YX150 engine, which is running 15bhp. A 18t front sprocket (Am going to have to grind some of the casing back to fit it!), And a 35t rear sprocket. On 12" wheels.

It currently indicates 63mph down hill, With 17t / 37t sprockets.

Heres hope.

I've heard the 150 powered monkey bikes power wheelie in 3rd gear.
