The F just doesn't do anything for me but it does look good in that paint scheme. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

Once the RR's finished breaking my back, I could imagine getting one of those. Looks quite tidy too. |

looks like mine except a different colour , not worn and torn and battered to hell and back...
A priority mod though is this:
take off the rear tail pod , and stick a CPU heat sink on the reg/rec using some of that CPU heat transfer paste in between. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. My reg+rec never seems to be warm if i give it a poke after a ride.
Nice bike, not my favourite colourscheme, although all th 600f's seem to have rather garish colours. How much did it set you back?
And how the heck are those crash bungs fitted? I'd be a bit wary of them, seems a dodgy place to have them fitted. I have the bungs from R&G and they are fitted through the rear corner mounting point of the fairing. Been dropped one on the LH side, twice on the RH side, and binned once on the RH side. No frame damage and the bungs did their job well.
On a side note, a nice upgrade for the headlight is a Philips X-Treme Power H4 bulb. Makes the old bulb seem like a kiddies flashlight!
EDIT: My bad, it's a H4 bulb, not a H7. ____________________

its a cheap precautionary mod which can be done for very little money , better to spend oh £1 now than £65 on a new reg/rec when not if it does give up the ghost.
The FX-FYs have a flat oblong type reg/rec , newer ones have a finned one., that said I've seen the circuit diagrams for them and they are rather simple to make yourself. Depends really , in that down in Spain the bike got HOT really hot, and after a long motorway run on a non winter day the frame feels hot too , and the Reg/rec heat sinks directly into the subframe.
The bungs look attached to the front downward spars of the engine , while my own R&Gs are attached to the fatter bit of the frame where the fairing bolts on , though the fairing on the CBR is quite thick and can absorb alotta sliding. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. £2395, IMO a lot for a 9 1/2 year old bike, but it is superb condition

They are motrax ones, I've been advised by my local honda dealer to remove them and get some R&Gs because the motrax ones have been known to bend the frame, writing off the bike.

I bought a Honda 'Cool Blue' bulb today, seems to have improved the light although I haven't tried it in the dark yet.

It is comfy, I still have my CB500, and in comparison, it feels sportier, but still retains the comfy feel, my left wrist did ache a little after I collected the bike but that is a combination of getting used to it (I am still a little rigid on the bike getting confidence in it) and also the clutch lever is mounted on such a position around the bars, my hand is arching up a little, will adjust that.
I will be getting a bagster tank cover though, which should enhance the feel on the tank, since it's a bit slippy as it is.
