I was just thinking about buying some of those velcro patches, and sewing 'em on some old jeans...Question...and then getting sliders...Very Happy

Not really a good idea on a fast bike, jeans don't protect you as well as a nice bit of dead cow Laughing

I believe that you can get 'wrap round' velcro for sliding (wraps around just under your knee with a velcro bit for a slider, but it's more for leathers without velcro), but whatever remember it has to be securley fastned... you'd have to have pretty skin tight jeans otherwise it would be pushed back as you touch down.

is it 'can't afford' as in really cannot afford, would have to go without basic life essentials to pay for this or 'can't afford' as in don't really want to pay for?

Cos as I see, it'd be worth saving up and buying proper leathers - they're going to last you forever and might just save your bacon one day.

It aint a good idea getting ur knee down with just jeans on. I did it once and i ended up with a hole in my jeans and a badly cut knee. What a prat i was now i have proper leathers but i dont like having to wear tight gear. I am a baggy clothing liking person Wink

I normally wear baggy clothing, but for the sake of my (pretty knackered anyway Sad ) skin I'm willing to wear tight leathers.
