Hiya

I asked about this before on irc but havn't tried it yet so my memorys a bit vague, can someone tell me how to easily remove a tank pad from a tank ? It seems super stuck (just removing it cause it's scratched to hell in places, not of my doing), and what do I use to fix the new one to the tank ?

I asked a guy and he said that when the tank pad comes off, it will bring off a load of the paint ?

Thanks for the help Smile

biggest prob I have when removing tank pads is getting the bike around from the garage, up the kerb, down the garden path, turned around on the front lawn, on the stand in front of thedoor and within range of the extension from the hall plug socket....BUT I'm moving next month and the new house has power in the garage...wahoo!!... Smile

If there is any sticky stuff left on the tank after then buy some 'Sticky Stuff Remover' and yes that is actually its name! You can get it from Clean Easy. lol, yea I know clean easy but it is brilliant stuff for getting rid of any sticky stuff left from stickers.

And no I am not a clean easy rep Laughing

You could just use a bit of petrol on a rag to remove the sticky stuff, just make sure you don't remove stickers too. Then wash to bike over with soapy water to remove any petrol residue.
