My keyfob for a Meta 357T, got wet when I was out a few months back. The button had a lot of water inside the button and on the PCB. Ever since then the keyfob is intermittent. Sometimes it will work first time, others it will take a good 5 minutes of faffing.

Because of this I would really like a new keyfob, and was wondering if anyone has had a keyfob made up for a pre existing alarm before, or if Meta would supply a direct replacement?

Dont really want to take the alarm off if I can help it. Rolling Eyes

I have a datatag on mine and I need a new fob so called my local dealer and was surprised at how cheap it was.

A new fob is £29 and about half hour to program it in to the alarm.

Not sure if Meta do a similar thing but have a look on their website and see whats on offer.

Cheers,
Si

How do I get a new transmitter if my old one has stopped working?

Contact your nearest Meta dealer who will be able to assist you further. Alternatively, if you have a Fiat vehicle, you can visit you nearest Fiat dealer.

I have got the same alarm fitted and did exactly the same, got the fob wet and it stopped working all together. I had to start using my spare fob.

I was told by meta that unless you have the code card that came with the alarm they cant make a new fob...

Mine was fitted when i bought it and it didnt come with any paper work at all for the alarm..

Meta alarms are not as versatile as the datatag, as GSXF-750 said, datatags can be reprogramed.
