He doesnt mean its bad at keeping off the rain and doesn't have hard luggage - he means its rubbish to actually ride.

Presumably you do like motorbikes because of how they ride?!

Hi

Nice idea, but suspect the problem was that the engine mounts were not up to the job, allowing it to vibrate. Looks like he has tried to avoid any perminant changes to the frame and hence built up a mounting cage.

TZR being a steel framed bike might be a better choice as it would make it far easier to weld in decent engine mounts.

yeah he did say at the start he wanted it so it could easily be restored back to a 250 wich is a bit of a bummer because that could of been brilliant if there wasnt the vibration

the idea of a 500 single in a 125 frame is just mouthwatering though , chives that tzr is a beast Drooling

They do look good in Spondon frames or RGV250 frames as well Wink


It's just a pity that they sound like a washing machine full of spanners when you start them up though! The RD500 is not quite as potent even when tuned, but it sounds so smooth like the cranks are running in teflon.

RG500s sound lovely. Don't know what RG you were listening to Laughing

The RD500 doesn't have the lovely 'wur' that you get with the square 4 RG engine.
