Mr HG... are you a member of the midlands section?

If you aren't I suggest you request membership. Then talk to the mod of that section and see if they think it's acceptable to advertise specials like this... if they do, do it in there 'with blessing' and people are less likely to mark your posts as 'spam' .

Personally I think shop staff advertising biking bargains this way is fantastic. Far more useful than word of mouth, and establishes a rapport between the retailer and the customer, leaving the way open for possible special offer exclusives

Have you had a look at the forums 'Karma' and 'Ratings' systems, if not, I suggest you do
There's a hand link entitled 'Help' at the top, which most people miss.

While I'm not particularly bothered about such posts, I also see that the 'Spam' rating is perfectly legitimate in these cases, so won't be revoking.

I point you to my previous post again, which may be a solution to still advertise on here without giving your store a bad name; which it seems it is already getting with some people.

Technically, as this is an item you're selling yourself, it should also be in the appropriate section for that.

While I appreciate your position, imagine if every other bike-stuff shop in the country also posted on here when they believed (or were willing to say they believe) they had a 'limited time true bargain'. It would not be possible to ignore it, because the site would be 95% adverts.

Oh and my bike or any other has never done that, even when riding a Ducati... which I have deduced is supposed to double the size of your penis!

I saw this post i think soon after it was posted, there were no replies, and i wrote out a whole diatribe about advertising and spamming, and how some spammers seem to be accepted from well known companies etc...

Then i thought im not saying anything constructive here ill just delete it and let the BCF massiv pass judgement, and im glad to see this post now has the relevant red blobs.
