what the opinion of everyone on the changes that are planned for donnington now they have planning. How are they going to change so much and still hold meets there!
Have to say I do like the new layout though should make for some interesting bike racing as well as F1.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I will miss the foggy esses but I think it will be better, faster and the spectators will get a much better view of the track if it's done right.

I just hope that they get the roads sorted first,
its a nighmare on race and trackdays with the airport traffic.

Wotcha.

I don't give a toss about formula one, or whatever it is.

They are pulling the exhibition hall down to make the track wider, this means there will be no more bike shows and the like held there.

Once again, the big money boys win.

I would have thought that whatever they pull down, they will ultimately rebuild in another capacity as they are going to need to exploit every event they can in order to earn what they have spent out back. I think that the revamp is a good thing. Thumbs Up

They are already underway with the development, take a look at this: https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7820588.stm

I'm looking forward to it, I hope they do it right though. Would be disappointing if Donnington ends up no better than Silverstone in the eyes of Ecclestone and he ends up pulling it Evil or Very Mad

What is access like on a race day? Are there plans to revamp local infrastructure?

They haven't come to a decision yet about access on race days as far as I am aware, but they have mentioned about having a huge park and ride system from the surrounding cities - Derby, Nottingham & Leicester.
