Thermal inner gloves

Does any body use them if so do they make a difference. Also where did you get them. As I'm thinking of getting some as im getting feed up with numb fingers going to and from work. Any help appreciated.

I have silk gloves from HG. Not used then yet though.

I had a pair of Antifreeze ones when I first started on bikes. I think I wore them once or twice and sold them on eBay soon after.

With correctly fitted gloves I found that the inners made the hands ache and become uncomfortable very quickly making using the levers and switchgear a pain.

Although my hands have been cold on longish runs to work first thing or late at night not really bothered too much to try again.

I have a pair of Oxford (I think), I can't wear them, restrict movement too much for my liking.

I have the Cold Killers ones and they help but do restrict movement so you need to up a size on your proper gloves.

In freezing conditions I find them ok and you can just about feel your fingers but ive only done 20 mins riding at a time in freezing temps.

i spend most days working outside and find that wearing a pair of latex gloves under bike gloves/work gloves seems to help quite a lot, i have no idea how or why, but they do

I was looking at some Lycra gloves. For work and my bike as they wouldnt restrict movement much. Plus they're hell of alot cheaper than most other ones.

I have tried three types: knitted polyester, silk and the oxford (cold killer/windstopper) ones. In that order of cost. The cheapest (knitted) are the best as they are thick enough to trap air while not restricting movement. £3.99

The silk ones are nice but only give limited extra insulation, I use them more to make sure my fingers come out of my winter gloves without turning them inside out. £12.99 camping shop.

The oxford one are impossibly thick and restrictive of movement/feeling. On the one ocassion I used them they were no better at keeping warm than the first pair above. Waste of £15.

Of course all are crap compared with my heated gloves which are the utter dogs bollocks and I have not worried about my hands (which have been toasty) all through this cold snap. The gloves on their own are not bad. I rode five miles with them yesterday with them (unintentional) off and hands were OK. The switched flicked under my jacket and I could not be bothered to stop and turn them on.

Galia Heated inner glove liners.
About 70 quid a pair.
They are thin gloves with a heating elemnt running down the back of the hand and fingers.
Excellent tool. If you can swallow the price.
Galia gear is made to a high standard and will last a long time.
I have a wee poofy heated waistcoat which is a life saver.
HG thermal gloves work too. But eventually the cold beats them.....
