Hi,
I bought my ER-5 back in August last year when I passed my test, I had the restriction kit installed, as my licence is restricted to 33bhp. At the time I would have never have thought about removing it, but now I'm wanting more power
I guess me first question should be, on a bike such as an ER-5 would removing the restriction kit make much difference to fuel economy? There are days when I ride it pretty hard and can watch the (rather inaccurate) fuel needle drop, would running it at full power mean its going to not work so hard at higher speeds, thus saving fuel?
Also, if this is the case, how difficult would it be? I have my trusty Haynes manual, and have been quite happy working on cars in the past. I understand that bikes are a lot smaller and bit more fiddly, so perhaps this would be best left to a garage?

I'm guessing 2-3hours with the manual? I know it didn't take them long to fit, but they screw you because you need the kit (b*stards!). ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |
