Sony PS3 - second hand prices?

Tempted to get a PS3 purely for Bluray playing... not really interested in the games as I have an Xbox for that.

A friend has one for sale, not sure if its 40gig or 60gig yet but out of interest what sort of price should I be looking to offer for each?

Not really sure.... they seem to be going on ebay for about

£200-300 for the 60GB

and similar money for the 40GB.

Don't really know, but a mate of mine got a 40gb with 5 games for 200, and another one got a 60gb with 1 game for 200, so it depends who is selling it i guess, although these were both bought from other friends, so that's why they got them cheap.

I've been looking at getting one too and think used prices are too high. They are selling on Ebay for the sort of money you can get new ones for.

I guess it depends on the unit - the earlier ones (with the software backwards compatibility, 4 USB sockets and built in card reader) command more money.
