I've got the cheapy cheap Nuvi 250 from Garmin and it's fine. Do you know any children who might be able to decipher it for you ____________________ ZX6R + CBR600RR |

I got the 400 when they were going dirt cheap last summer. It does all I want and a bit more. reading the instruction manual does help also the Garmin Zumo web site forum has loads of answers to question you didn't think of asking. There are also some hidden features not in the manual.
There is a 660 out now but it is way too much at the moment.

i must admit the garmin menu systems is a little confusing compared to the tom tom,
but with free map making software, i had no other choice when buying one, as no one had made maps for new zealand, luckily because of the free software that garmin has, regular guys have fully mapped nz and the maps are free,
it was also awesome travelly through thailand, malaysia laos and singapore, fuck knows what i would have done with out the free maps : garmin all the way for me.
although toring europe with a tom tom was considerably easier, much more user friendly ____________________ the humans are dead

Not had a problem with my Zumo 550
I like the ability to sort my route(s) out on the computer using the Mapsource software, then upload it to the garmin, this gives me the piece of mind knowing the Zumo is taking me the route where I WANT to go, unlike TomTom. Even if I don`t want to go the most direct route. The Zumo is ideal for me to plot day to day travel when I`m touring europe, even if I wander off track, it will still get me to my final destination at the end of the day (hotel, camp site etc)
As hmmmnz has pointed out, the TomTom european maps are superior to garmins, primarily because TomTom are a european company whereas garmin ain`t european.
But Garmin has the edge outside europe.
I have both, but prefer the Zumo for the bike ____________________ I accept no responsibility for swearing, drinking, motorcycle riding or your pregnant teenage daughter. |

I've been looking to get a Zumo to use instead of my Tomtom.
The only reason why is that I can't find any Tomtom maps for Croatia. Does anyone know if a Croatia map exists for Tomtom and where I might find one? ____________________ Current: ZZR1400

Thanks Peirre, it does say on their website that it covers major cities and costal areas which I think will be good enough as I'm only really planning on Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik.
If I can figure this torrent type stuff out I'll see if I can get it for free, if not it's only £30 from the Tomtom website.
Top stuff! ____________________ Current: ZZR1400

Mine works fine...
Only agro is the nagging for speed cameras. WHY?
I would like bigger buttons for the bottom of the touch screen though.
Excellent tool.
I bought the kit to take it in the car too.

It is dangerous coz.....
When I am busy footering with the other gizmoz on it.. It keeps cutting back the the speed warning screen.. Whilst I am in-putting my tank range and stuff...
How do you know I play the Bongos?
Why do they bother putting the anti-tamperfere function on these things?
Who doesn't play with it as they go? They're no fun when locked up. ____________________ W-ireless A-rtificial L-ifeform L-imited to O-bservation P-eacekeeping and E-fficient R-epair |
