You often see them at shows, and i know for a fact that the lazer cut engravings certainly wouldn't do much for the fracture strength of the disks! The sharp edges act as stress concentration points... Pure tart value.. I can imagine you having to buy replacemen disks because the ones you bought are cracked! Wouldn't want to get one if i was on my bike throughout the year - better off getting a replacement set from ABE which aren't too bad.

A bloke at work recently replaced his standard Firblade discs with those stealth ones, he says they've excellent value for money. That said he hardly rides the bike so he won't have done thousands of miles on them.

If you go for the bog standard discs without the crappy tartiness, I've heard very good things about them. If you go for the chav option then you will probably get what you deserve.

Cheers

Running a pair of tart discs I scored cheap on Ebay on the ZZR1100 at the moment, these bikes are notorious for having underpowered brakes. Only at around 2000 miles so far but very impressed. They have made a hell of a difference and now the calipers have been swapped as well the bike is transformed, I've heard differing opinions though. One guy in the trade rates them highly, another seems to think they're hit or miss at best.

I'm generally happy with the build quality and performance. Click my sig for a pic.

Wavy discs without the dodgy colours and lazer cutting were what I'm thinking about. Thumbs Up
