Random question pertaining to balisong/butterfly/batangas

Anyone happen to know if they can still be bought over the counter in France? My old training knife finally died after long and sterling service and finding a replacement in the UK seems nigh on impossible for anything other than cheap rattley crap made of tin.

well as they are all illegal in the UK i'm not surprised you can't find them, still legal in France as far as I'm aware though you face the wrath of customs and a visit from plod if caught importing

Cheers. I'm well aware of the legal status here, hence the question about French law. It's another piece of kneejerk legislation that has done little but punish the law abiding. It's easy enough to buy cheap crap (the sort of thing people pick up while on holiday and sell at stupid prices to impressionable children) but finding a good quality knife with a decent flipping action seems nigh on impossible at the moment.

Being a bit of an outdoors knife collector I know what you mean about some of the legislation , but they can still be bought in France so good luck in your search

Andorra ? , shops around there were selling tazers , pepper spray , CS gas, and knives / swords maces etc.
