I would say nice, but I really have no idea whether they are or not!

I do have a couple of questions though, answer them if you want!

1. What is the deal with UK people buying guns in America? Do you have to wait until you are a citizen before you can accumulate your arsenal?

2. What is it about guns and shooting that you like? I did a small amount of target shooting when I was a lad, and yeah, it is pretty good for the first couple of times, but after that it became a bit dull. I wasn't much good, mind.

3. What is the cost of the ammo? Say #$/round.

Thanks!

Are they decommissioned guns or actual working ones?

Remember my dad having a pump action for a while that was meant to be pretty old, got in a magazine when my Grandad owned it (the gun not the magazine).

And Damofo, shotgun cartridges are pretty expensive, especially if you have to use bismuth for water birds.

I thought a Moisin Nagant was french?

I know the VC used them in 'nam... Vietnam being an ex french colony and Moisin Nagant sounding french 'n all.

Hmm. Guns made by cheese eating surrender monkeys! who'd have thought it!

1: You can buy them if you are a permanant resident
2: Everyone needs a hobby Smile
3: Depends on the gun. 303 is expensive at around $12/20 rnds. My kids Savage .22 is about $5 for 500 rnds. Shotgun ammo depends on what it is. Birdshot is $22/100, but 1oz slugs are close to $1 each & #00 buckshot is about $10/15 rnds. Ammo for my .40 S&W runs about 30c/rnd & ammo for the Mosins (surplus military) about $200/1000rnds

I get to pick up my other 2 Mosins later today Smile

I'd be very interested in knowing the accuracy of those from a supported position at 50m, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m and 500m. If you fancy it. Smile

I'm taking those 2, plus the other 2 Mosins & both of my Enfield 303's out for a quick test shoot later today, but I'm not going to the shooting range until the 25th.

In the meantime, go watch Enemy At The Gate.. Wink

Your .40, is that a semi auto? I heard that hollow point and dum dums etc are likely to cause jams... which would be bad in a personal defence situation...

Thats why some people insist on using 'ol wheel guns! Laughing

The Enfield is a pussycat Smile, it's a 1918 Mk1 #3 made by BSA

I live in the Mojave Desert so I can shoot pretty much anywhere away from the roads. Place I was at this morning was almost ankle deep in brass & spent shotgun casings.
I was here:
34°53'30.36"N 118°11'7.92"W

Is there a limit to how many guns you can own or can you get as many as you feel like?

If I ever move stateside I'm definitely getting some guns.
