Could be a trojan. Mate got one recently and out of nowhere it would play some random broadcasts in the background.

download some decent anti virus/spyware programs.

but first, press ctrl alt delete, click task manager. Then in the processes tab, list all the processes on here

we can tell you more from that....

all those ones that MarJay highlighted, click on and click end task, when the music stops, remember which one you closed and search it on google. Should tell you which program is best for removing it.

quick google

https://www.computing.net/answers/security/savexe-and-bexe-infection/23380.html

and that a.tmp.exe is spyware

Ending the processes is very unlikely to work,
as clever people these days inject them into other programs that windows needs to run, and are totally unsuspicous.
Common ones being sometimes being
svchost
explorer
ieexplore.

Best way has been mentioned already using HIJACK this, and copy the logs to them. Your antivirus sounds a bit fishy as well...

It will work if t.exe or a.exe or a.tmp.exe are the trojan instead of a cleverly named svchost or something.

Killing the svchost doesn't seem to do anything to the system anyway, apart from perhaps temporarily disable the network unti it starts up again.

But he has some free skanky AV, apart from AVG.
One from the likes of places like downloadcentre etc which are lets be honest never and good at all.

And if its injected into explorer, if he kills it, it kills all processes id try a system restore/rollback myself and hope that it hasnt infected the system restore files..

svchost isn't anything to do with it, the problem is that sometimes viruses name themselves scvhost aswell as an obvious name, so when you kill the obvious once scvhost reactivates it.

I suggest Security Task Manager, it's pretty good at killing off processes you don't want running and is also good at showing which ones really aren't genuine processes, it also won't let them hide using their little task list dodging scripts.
