Picking my bike up on Monday
https://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll312/callum-luvs-trials/Yuan-125-23-IMG1.gif
It is a 08 Yuan Renegade, a Cbr 125cc replica.
This bike has only done 13 miles from new as it was used as a demo bike in a Mcn magazine
The Mcn team built the bike and checked it all over
I only paied £600 as it is classed as a second hand bike, becasue it had to be registered to be tested on te road my Mcn
I will get actual pics of the bike when I pic it up. ____________________ Learner legal |

Because theres been storrys of frames crumbling, bikes setting fire, you said yourself the tyres slip off the rims, there a massive hazard to you let alone anyone on the road.
If i was you, keep an eye on it and when its time to upgrade get shut of it an get yourself an nice japanese bike, not a cheap indian or chinese replica. ____________________ Haz ER-5, innit! |

This is what i found doing a MCN search
AndyKyle89 says:
My Bike Problems
Yuan YA125-23
I have a Yuan YA125-23 purchased in August since then I have a list of problems about as long as my arm. It all started a week into having the bike, when the sender started leaking fuel not just a little drop it was lying in puddles. So got that fixed then 1 week later exactly the same happend this time there was no replacement so was bogged back together with araldite. To this day still waiting to see a new sender for the bike. Due to the fuel leak one of the side pannels is all cracked n broken Ordered a replacement in 1st couple of days in Sep, Its now the end of Jan where the hell is it. Serious case of I have had 4 new headlights n now kinda ok but still not 100% and now the tail lights are starting to go what a joke as far as i am concerned. Three weeks ago the exhaust was falling of but managed 2 sort that all bolts were just comming away from the manofold should it really be doing that sorta thing when its 5 months old? When we had the faring off sorting the exhaust we noticed that all side pannels are just about on last legs but whats the point of getting new ones when i am still waiting on the 1st one. Last Sat the bike broke down water in the electrics. Sholud they not be covered over it isn't as though the bike is exposed to the elements or that. And finally the clutch cable is about to snap said nxt day delivery but hey as before he was talking guff. Feel really ticked off Spending! money every time bike is off the road on bus fares and the whole point of getting the bike in the 1st place was so i could have freedom n not rely on other people or public transport. Has any1 had any similar problems if so please email me at andykyle1989@hotmail.co.uk so we can try and get a picture of the secnario and tell the people that are selling them what we think. P.S had the problem with the starter 2 wares off with time still does it sometimes

Generally 'we' don't like chinese bikes, however we've begun to accept korrean if that helps?
The cbr125, although not cool, it's an excellent bike and it shouldnt be copied, it just ruins honda.... i mean that chinese thing is going to break within a month... ____________________ Current Bike: 1996 Yamaha TRX850 (The Japanese-Ducati One).

Not a good idea.
All chinese bikes at the moment are sheds. Lifans, Yamasakis etc. etc. ____________________ My Flickr |

Generally chinese bikes are totally naff but some large bike manufacturers (suzuki inparticular) don't actually make small bikes themselves anymore. Not sure about Honda etc but i know suzuki don't.
My 1st 125, a Suzuki GZ125 was made under license by suzuki but made in china. It was actually a good bike, didn't have any problems with it apart from trying to source a clutch cable. That was until the output shaft sheared (maybe doing 26k in 14 month with the throttle on the stop basically all the time had something to do with it )
Anyway, as has been previously said, you could of got a very nice CG125 for that, that would easily go round the clock with 'normal' maintanance.
I'm sure people on here will be willing to help when something goes wrong (it is going to happen, face it), just be prepared for it. You really do get what you pay for with things like this. Buy cheap, buy twice! ____________________ It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, then it's bloody hilarious!!! |
