Have you/would use this stuff to fix a puncture??

https://www.inter-bike.co.uk/inter-bikeshop/default.asp?numperpage=1&images=on&display=full&categoryid=384&searchstr=SDS16&itemname=Slime%20Super%20Duty%20for%20Tubeless%20Motorcycle%20Tyres%20-%2016oz%20Bottle

No bike/tyre places will repair motorbike tyres in my area, and I don't have the funds for a new one. Question is, is it worth the risk?

If its already punctured its a bit late, go buy a tubeless tyre repair kit £15 , with 4 pieces of silly string , or go to HG and buy their figure of 8 4 plug version for £20...

Its supposed to be a temperory repair but I've tested it up to double the UK speed limit on a private road Wink and they seem to last the life of the tyre.

I put some in the back tyre of the Blackbird, just as a temporary fix about 4000 miles ago. Then I kinda forgot about it. Embarassed

The tyre's nearly done now, and I've ridden as I would normally for all that distance, noticing no ill effects, and having no problems. I'd do it again in a second. Thumbs Up

i had a nail stuck in my rear tyre a few months ago, took it to a dealers and they said replace the tyre and then went to another and they sold me that stuff.

with my tyre it was a slow puncture so i think it only works on small holes. anyway 4 months later and its still going well, apparently its a gd idea to fill your tyres with it when you get them as when you do get a puncture it will automatically fill it up.

to use it you have to deflate it, put the slime in, put air in to correct pressure then ride it slowly for a couple of miles until the slime is evenly spread over the entire tyre.

it's good stuff.

best when used before the puncture - but works after. dfoesnt affect your tyres at all. (not in the time i've used it) i ran the stuff in three sets of tyres myself.

once in a small RS50 front wheel where the rim was leaking air (40 psi to nothing in 3 hours every time!) lots of that sutff (in stages) and it sealed it up and was fine - then i sold the bike anyway. put it in, it's good stuff.

Thanks guys. That's re-assured me a lot. It's only a very small puncture, so this stuff should be ok to seal it up. I'll know if it doesn't Shocked

I had a nice nail in the rear tyre on the J2 - a friend brought 'Slime' for me and it worked a treat.
Just make sure the hole is not massive. Go for a ride right away - I did about 10 miles

Does it not degrade over long periods of time in the tire? Will consider getting this. Never had a puncture, but never really want one.
