after leaving some cunts house at like 1am, i was on my way home and found the lanes pretty much completely flooded. now, seeing as my headlights dont work apart from the tiny pilot light, i hit this at about 30mph to the tune of ''WHAT THE FUCK???''

so i stopped... stepped off... and... oh shit.

anyone else would have avoided this mess...

so there i am, up to my sidestand in water, riding about a mile in it.

was fucking ace.

30mph rooster tails and stuff, water coming over the windscreen... any faster and it started to aquaplane

That happened to me when riding to Kirkstone Pass, only I was moving along nicely behind a camper van when it stopped. I had to put a foot down and the water was that deep it went right over the top of my boot. It is fun though riding through such deep water, washed all the crud from the bottom of my bike Laughing

I had a girl on the back after taking her to the cinema, was about 11:30 at night so pitch black. I am going down this road I knew very well give it a bit, but holding back as I had her on and it was wet. Come round this corner, about 40-50mph, Bang I can't see anything, water is fucking everywhere spray up everywhere. I didn't stop just went through. Stopped made sure my girlfriend was fine (she was pretty shaken) and we went home.

It is scary when it surprises you. But quite fun when you expect it! Driving through a mile of it must have been good.

Off road bikes with skinny tyres.

Dont go to fast especially if you are on a bike with wide tyres, as you can aqua plain, then as Matt said fall off and get wet.

I rode the 10 or so miles home from uni at about midnight ish tonight, was chucking down, hasent rained this hard for a while, After doing some beamer on a roundabout in the rain (shame on you beamer) i went through a massive puddle, the wake was easily shoulder high, but i was so wet at that point it dident matter and was quite fun.

I remember a few years back the small linking road which now runs alongside westfield, from shepherds bush to the A40 (Dual carriage way) was totally flooded, one car had got stuck and none of the others were willing to chance it, I was on my GS500 and there was another biker on a BMW or somesuch adventure jobbie (much more suited to it...) we both paused for a moment then pinned it, massive bow wave, and i think the exhaust was submerged, i just kept it pinned and made it through thankfully...
