So, accepting that I am going to get shit for even asking the question but;

Does anyone get the blues if they eat peanuts?

I love 'em but every time I get some in me I have a couple of days feeling all sad and unhappy. I am a happy go lucky guy but peanuts make me hate the world. WTF.

Anyone else get the same or anyone think up a reason

Consider yourself lucky that you need peanuts to make you feel low.

It comes much easier than that for most. Wink

See, your peanut is your lower class nut.

Its eaten mostly by plebs who don't mind having 11 different mens' wee on their munchies (I'm sure we've all heard "that" research by now)

Plus, its grown and picked in the deep south of the USA where they all talk kinda funny, honeychile, and after all if an ex president of the USA grew the damn things for fun and profit, they can't really have all that much class, now can they? ... so its no wonder its probably making you feel depressed and stuff, babes.

You wanna eat yourself some cashew nuts, native of happy Brazil where people wear very few clothes and smile a lot (it may be the cocaine, of course) but happily, grown most successfully in Vietnam where people are famously friendly and cheerful in the face of adversity (as our young friend Minhdinh is displaying admirably).

Or some macadamias, grown in sunny Australia the land down under where the men blow and the women chunder (I may have misquoted that) and which has a wonderfully oily mouthfeel, which gives the same sense of satiety as chocolate.

And we all know about the happiness quotient of chocolate, compliments of the Aero Melty Chocolate Balls Man.

Nuts make my asthma bad Crying or Very sad

Some foods do make peoples mood change, for instance I could kill someone on a cup of coffee. Then freak out and take a come down after. Crying or Very sad

Bananas make me happy as they release seratonin. Mr. Green

choc is ok but can make me edgy. Chicken also is suppose to be a good mood food and curry.

I once threw a chefs knife at my brother for trying to steal my pot noodle. I know what you're thinking, and yes, it WAS a bombay bad boy.

Also nuts are yucky, you are feeling depressed because you want to eat a chicken breast with steak, chips and onion rings and all you can find are peanuts.

I don't like peanuts, never have, they disgust me but every couple of years I'll forget why I don't like them and try one. Quickly I'll remember and get depressed because of the pain I've put myself through.

My friend once came across a guy on the beach who looked like he was bracing for impact. He thought nothing of it, but when the guy was in the same position half an hour later he decided to go and have a chat. As soon as he asked him if he was ok and tapped his shoulder the guy went into a very excited happy state, his response being:
Thank you SO MUCH!!! You have freed me! I was stuck inside a peanut and I couldn't get out!
Laughing
Ketamine? Shrooms? LSD? What makes you go like that so I can avoid it

Maybe this dainty song will make your peanut-eating experience all the more pleasurable...
