Brakes

I seem to have noticed more recently that the front brake on my zxr750 bites ok initially but then seems to fade a little as the braking continues.

Is this normal? I've only had bikes which barely stop before i.e GPZ.

I would like something with a good even bite throughout the braking process.

Sounds like it could do with some new brake hoses if you havnt got braided lines already.

Again, If the Fluid is old, it could be heating up and causing loss of pressure.

Does sound like the hoses though, My mates gixxer 6 has the same problem, And its got a set of 15 year old rubber hoses on it. Laughing

Yep, as said it sounds like your rubber hoses need replacing.
Fit some braided lines and change the fluid. Thumbs Up

I would first of all bleed the brakes,
If that doesn't work change the fluid
If that doesn't work then think about the hoses.
Keep it simple.
Little tip, tie your brake leaver as far back to the bars as you can over night, this should push any air out of the banjo bolts and little pockets in the system. Your brakes will feel alot sharper.
