Hi everyone,

I just thought I would post this.

In the last week I have been reminded so many times now of how great it is being a biker. In case you dont know I have been driving some nice and some not so nice cars from the the age for 20, started out with a ford zs 1.6 then on to golf GTI's 2.016v.

I did like having a kind of quick car, but on one night I was thinking about all that money on road tax, insurance, up keep and petrol just to go fast for 5 min then sit in trafic for 10min and had my realization GET A BIKE!!

So I sold the golf done a CBT (yes....yes CBT) and got my new CBR 125r 08. I know a lot of ppl will bash me for this but you have to understand I wanted a safe, cheep and fun introduction in to bikeing for about 2- 3 years then get my dream bike a sky blue R6.

Well just past my one year of bikeing and over the last week I had to do my tax and insurance......................... Tax = £15 for the year insurance = £169 for the year, could not feel better.

Also this week just doing my normal trip to round my friends place, well you know when sometimes you like to go a bit quick and other times (most of the times for me) just ride nice and safe not to quick not over taking unless your behind a donkey or something.

This one bit of road thats in a built up area and almost every house has a blind exit out of there road well I like to stick to the speed limit as I have had ALOT of ppl pull out in front of me when even going the speed limit. Well cars love to over take me there and i love to just ride to the speed limit while they are flooring it and they always hit traffic lights and while they are sitting there i just goto the front of them all.

I dont think I will ever stop being a rider............ Very Happy

I know what you mean mate I luv me bike although it is quite slow and ppl in cars over take me sometimes and allot of big bikes go whizzing by. That does kinda piss me off sometimes but most of the time I couldn't care less Smile.

Ive been on the road over a year now and still go out in all conditions the only thing I don't like is the damn cold and it only affects my fingers I never feel it any where else.

Gonna pin the PV open when the better weather comes around and the bike will fly.

Crashing on a bike isn't very fun. But I wouldn't give it up unless I had too.

Cos i'm fuckin not! Laughing

Have you ever crashed? Had a spill or anything? Skill doesnt always determaine a crash now does it if we're all honest, luck is a factor too.

True. Not the case here though, seen him ride and been there, I'd trust him on my bike.

School boy error that one.

You have to train yourself to not look at the thing you're about to hit, it works.

Tell me about it - had to continuously tell myself today not to look at the kerb but through the corner, and not to kill the power but to keep the rear wheel loaded up. First time out for a while Embarassed
