Need some advice on new back tyre, mine still has some life left for next 500miles or so but will need new one soon.

It's a gsxr 600 and right now i have pair bt14 which are fine.

I need something that will last, maybe sport-touring but something that have enough grip. Bt21 seems to be popular ones but i dunno anything about them.

My local garadge just wants to rip me off once again by telling me to get most expensives ones which are 160+ quid...

Any thoughts?

O sorry, I thought you meant for a pair. Embarassed

for a rear yes that is rather steep.

Why not just put anothre 014 on it, then when they both wear out change the pair.

Ive got a bt021 on the rear, with an 014 on the front.
Ive always found it be grippy in the wet or dry, and its lasting well without squaring off.
I went out today, the roads were pretty greasy but i still had lots of confidence in the tyres (the 021 particulary) Thumbs Up

Thats not just expensive thats ridiculous. You should name and shame them pieces of shit. A BT014 for my CBR6 was about £100 fitted. I was quoted £230 by my local place to fit 2 michelin pilot road 2's to my hayabusa (also daylight robbery as it turns out) so £160 just for a rear on a 600 is terrible. As always you have an option, just go somewhere else Thumbs Up

if your really skint consider a race scrub off they bay. I got a supercorsa for £35 delivered. Local fitted swapped the tyre for a tenner and i got a new tyre (well will be for me as only the right side is worn) for £45. As long as it lasts 4k i'm happy for that price.
