I've had my Vertigo's for mayby 9 months now, although i doubt ive been constantly riding for more than half of that, the trouble is the heel protector on the left boot came off after about 3 months and thismorning the zip on the right boot snapped, the bit that you pull it with not the actual zipper.

I dont have the reciept anymore but i could probably dig out the bank statement if i needed to, where do i stand with regards to an exchange etc...? should i go directly through SIDI or should i go through the bike shop?

Any other recommendations?

cheers

The zip tags always break , its made in Italy , its normal...

Mine through Spain started to fall apart the adjusters came off the zip tags came off (everybody replaces them with key ring ones) and the toe sliders are wearing a bit thin (though this is more use than anything).

If they lasted forever then who would buy their new boots? ...

I've had my Sidi Vertigo Mega-GoreTex boots 14 months now with no issues. I've ridden in all weathers and forded some deep floods in that time.

I do wear texitle trousers over the boots though and maybe that's given them some extra protection.

Zip tags on my Sidis always break, I replace them with a key ring. Do you still have the box for the boots? The bar code on there is your guarantee.

When I had issues with the vents breaking, I took them back to J&S who had a 'box of bits' and they fixed them there and then.

Yup, the zip tag on my sidis broke too, and they are gradually falling apart in general.

All in all I'm not overly impressed with them, although for the most part they have lasted a while so...

I had my Vertigo Corsas for over three years now, and everything works on them quite well, just a shame the soles are starting to wear through. Over 50k miles on them and still going strong! Thumbs Up Even the zip tags. Laughing

My second hand bargain basement vertebraes were spot on, I did 8k miles in them and then sold them on in pretty much the condition I bought them in. My top of the line (when I bought them) super expensive veritgo corsas have snapped both zips, snapped one of the nylon tightener strappy things and the little red clips keep trying to fall off. Most of this happened in the first 6 months. Last pair I will buy, they can go shit a hedgehog if they think they deserve any more of my 'hard earned' Thumbs Up

I have had no problems with mine at all with 18 months riding almost every day, the soles have started to go thin but other than that they are tops Smile

Mine lasted 2 years.
Had Vertigo Corsas, screws randomly went missing.
Finally one of the nylon cord thingys snapped, then I got new boots.

Old and very tatty now, sole is pretty much slick so no good in the wet.
Should throw them out really.
